About Aapri Books & Publishing
PDF Print E-mail

Created in 2007, Aapri Books & Publishing is a host of creative minds who chose to start a new independent publishing company with the sole purpose of finding, mentoring and exposing fresh innovative talent to the world of literature. Aapri Books & Publishing  is striving to start a literary revolution by encouraging more African American writing, reading & support of our literature. The focus is especially on African American men. We want to encourage our male youth to read more and write more in hopes of tapping into the power that our youth fail to recongize they possess. Our mission also extens to African American entrepreneurship in various fields in addition to literacy. We chose to add entrepreneurship due to the fact that self employment is not taught in the African American community, in some circles it is often avoided. For years we have been taught to go to school to get a good job, but that is where the problem lies. The minds at Aapri Books & Publishing firmly believe that self employment is the way to unite African Americans as well as further adding contributions to our economy, society and the rest of the world.

The work released by Aapri Books & Publishing is generated for all audiences: ages, races, genders, lifestyles & backgrounds not to be limited to only African Americans. Literature is universal. We encourage everyone that occupies this vast & marvelous universe to read our literature and the literature of the minds that create it. With partnerships with some of the most creditable companies in individuals in the literary industry, Aapri Books & Publishing has huge plans for early 2010 & 2011 such as:  Our 1st Annual Black Literature 365 Calendar and our Annual Aapri Books Scholarship for Literature & the Creative Arts. In addition, we have formed new partnerships with websites such as;www.ineedapapernow.com, www.benjaminsz.com and www.workaholicsfilms.com

All of which are African American owned and operated websites and businesses and we are in negotiation to be affiliated with even more in the coming months.

Aapri Books & Publishing is also a Green company. 90% of the materials we use are recycled, such as the paper in which we print our books on, boxes that we ship our books in and our entire facility uses energy saving electricity. Talks of utilizing solar power have begun and we recycle nearly everything we use.
